Singing Techniques for Changing Voices ❤️
An in-person singing class where Tweens (ages 9-12) discover their natural singing voices in a supportive group environment. Based on the life changing techniques found in The Elusive Voice™ online singing course, TEV Tween Edition makes adjustments to accommodate tweens’ unique changing voices.
As singers, we ARE the instrument. Building self-awareness and musicality go hand in hand as youth develop crucial foundational singing skills for a lifetime of song!
This 7-week class takes tweens through the basics of healthy singing technique. Students will sing a song of their choice and learn to use their natural voices to really make it shine.
Singing exercises, paired with somatic embodiment exercises, mindset prompts, and some basic understanding of the anatomy of the voice provides a rock solid foundation for any future singing they may choose, whether that is in a choral setting or belting it out on stage. Students will work on their songs individually at home as well as with the group. The course will culminate in a brief performance to show off what we’ve learned for friends and family alike.
Classes and final performance will be held in downtown Ithaca, NY.
