Gain insight into authentic jazz style. Catered to each student's individual needs, these private lessons with resident jazz expert, Ginny Maddock, can cover anything from vocal improvisation and jazz theory to creating a healthy and stylistically authentic sound.

Group Voice Lessons for the Casual Singer

$180 (that’s just $15/hour!)

A class for those who would like to learn healthy singing techniques that focus on the body as a holistic instrument. Open to ages 11 - 111, this class is an excellent way to support your singing whenever, wherever, and however you burst into song!

Time tested classical singing techniques viewed through the lens of the Feldenkrais Method and other wellness practices lend a unique and playful approach to singing. You will learn ways to support your voice long term, and apply specific exercises to ensemble songs as well as a solo song of your choice.

Get your sweat on and blow off some steam before the weekend!

Class begins with warm up and gentle stretching, followed by time honored dance technique to keep you healthy and strong. You’ll finish each class with choreography in the jazz or modern style. The atmosphere is light and playful, but don’t be mistaken! You’re still gonna work!

Pre-Registration is STRONGLY encouraged. This class is sure to fill up fast. Space limited to 14.


Steel Club Cabaret

A Strength & Conditioning Jazz dance workshop series

Steel Club Cabaret is a strength and conditioning jazz dance workshop series. In this four-class workshop series we will combine Bob Fosse's signature jazz style featuring sultry hip rolls, turned-in pigeon toes and detailed movements with isolated Steel Club exercises. As in a typical jazz dance class, the classes in this series consist of an isolation warm-up, a dance combination and a cool-down.

Unlike a typical Jazz dance class, however, these classes will feature the use of Steel Clubs as part of the dance combinations. Each class builds upon the previous.

Space is limited to 10 people.

Steel Club Strength in Flow

Steel Club Strength in Flow is a 4-class series designed to get you stronger as well as help you to develop flow through sequencing. By exploring basic Steel Club exercises we’ll build a repertoire of movements which will later be added to a Vinyasa style of flow set to music.

This is a great Steel Club Introductory class and prep for Level 1 Steel Club Cabaret Dance and Conditioning.

Please bring a mat. Equipment provided but limited. Registration recommended.
